I grew up just thirty miles west of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in a little town called Gordo. I did not grow up duck hunting.  It wasn't until I was in my twenties when I traded some work for a duck hunt. One hunt and I was hooked.

I am a preacher, husband, father, and lineman.  I started making calls in my shop just to see if I could.  I loved it.  And I still love it.  To be able to take a piece of material, shape it, and create what I believe is a work of art, gives me deep gratification. To see a project from start to finish; from scrap material to a striking creation, made by my own hands.

I began to show my co-workers my creations and through their motivation and interest to buy, I created more. In an effort to make them available to all duck hunters, I began to test my creative skills and experimented with various objects to see how well they would tolerate being encapsulated in acrylic. This lead to some very unique duck calls. I continue to try my hand at new and unique creations. Some turn out exactly how I envisioned, while the others remain on my "Wall of Shame."
